Vancouver Wedding Off-season: Rain Blossom Project (Red Umbrellas)

Snow is a rarity in Metro Vancouver, and when the white stuff comes down, it makes for a great backdrop for photos.  Not wanting to miss this chance, I spent my Sunday driving through Stanley Park and stopping along my favourite wedding portrait locations to photograph them with the element of snow.

The great thing about Instagram (@noyocreative) is the ability to see what's going on locally and around the world.  Without this social media platform, I would not have known about the Rain Blossom Project.  This display of public art is sprung on by anonymous Vancouverites who have suspended handfuls of red umbrellas from naked trees along a patch in Spanish Banks.
