A few days ago, I teamed up with a fellow photographer and friend, Garvin Lee, to shoot a commercial creative in Vancouver with Amy Kay. We wanted this creative to showcase our advertising capabilities and create a moody treatment to images. The simple concept would entail Amy Kay (athlete) going out for a run in the overcast weather of Vancouver. The injection of drama to the images would come from the use of harsh lighting supplied by strobes. We settled upon Olympic Village as the location for the shoot with BC Place Stadium on the north side of False Creek as the backdrop. This collaborative commercial creative is one of many that Garvin and I hope to participate and we can't wait to reveal the images from this shoot. In the meantime, here are a few behind the scene and candid images from the session.
