The special day started off at Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver where Vivian and her bridesmaids were getting ready for the first look, which took place out on the terrace overlooking the Vancouver Art Gallery. Later, a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Anthony of Padua commenced where Vivian and Rick were surrounded by the closest friends and family. We found ourselves in Coal Harbour and Robson Square for bridal party photos before the traditional Tea Ceremony back at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. The hilarity and loving friendship of their bridal party provided such wonderful entertainment during the Chinese wedding tradition of door games. Later in the day, we found ourselves at Terra Nova Rural Park for an intimate first look followed by wedding portraits of the bridal party. Afterwards, a beautiful ceremony and reception took place at UBC Boathouse. Surrounded by the best friends and family, we spent the evening basking in love, laughter, and merriment. Nestled in a quieter part of North Burnaby lies a beautiful row cherry blossom trees that overhangs over a short path. With these tress reaching full bloom, we had little choice but to photograph Sharon and Gary's engagement on a blustery and rainy day. However, these two were not perturbed by the rain and totally embraced the inclement weather. With warm hearts and insatiable laughter, the documentation of Sharon and Gary's engagement session made us excited for their summer wedding at Hycroft!
Taking advantage of a beautiful sunny day and cherry blossom season in Vancouver, we documented Sim and Vincent's engagement session in Coal Harbour and Yaletown. With warm genuine smiles, you couldn’t tell it was an extremely cold day. We are overly excited to document their wedding this summer and can’t wait to share with you the images!
It was tremendous day documenting Shannon & Adam’s wedding in November. Their love for one another can only be summed up into one word: effortless. Shannon’s generosity towards her bridesmaids was evident at the Delta Hotel in Burnaby through meaningful gifts, which set the scene in the morning. A brief encounter with Jessie & Albert was enough for us to realise how wonderful these two are and how much we wanted to document their wedding day. Jessie's infectious smile and Albert's calm demeanour gave us further confidence and excitement for their June wedding. On an early summer's morning under stereotypical Vancouver skies, we found ourselves at Brockhouse Restaurant in Vancouver, BC. Our day started in Richmond, BC at River Rock with Florence getting ready for her big day while Paul was at Minoru Chapel setting up and greeting guests. Having met these two last year, we were excited to photograph Jennifer and Damian this summer before their August wedding! Our first location found yourselves in Gastown, Vancouver BC whereby we found it extremely effortless to capture Jennifer and Damian in candid loving moments against various architectural backdrops. With the sun making an appearance, we caught the tail end of golden hour and it was a beautiful sight to be seen as we capped off the evening on a parkade rooftop.
Our next location was at Redwood Park, Surrey BC where we were fortunate enough to encounter a most beautiful sunset. The tall trees of Redwood Park is a beautiful reminder of how small we are in the world and the golden light finding it's way onto the forest floor added a beautiful touch in photographing Jennifer and Damian. We are so thrilled to get the chance to document their upcoming wedding and can't wait to share with you their story in August!
There are days where we feel so blessed to be in the presence of such great company and capture lasting memories of beautiful weddings. Katina & Robert reinforced this feeling with one of our favourite days this season! We found ourselves in Mission where Robert and his groomsmen found themselves in a bevy of door game activities. Vietnamese traditions of blessings amongst family and friends soon followed where Robert saw Katina for the first time in her beautiful Ao Dai. Before the ceremony, Katina & Robert paid a visit to Poor Clares Monastery to receive a blessing from the nuns Katina grew up with. The catholic ceremony in Maple Ridge was made extra special as Katina’s brother, Father Matthew, who officiated the celebration. Pitt Lake and Swaneset were the backdrops of choice for our portrait session and the rain held off just enough for us to capture Katina & Robert under the dramatic clouds. Evening celebrations with family and friends capped off what was a highlight for us this wedding season.
Capturing the story of Elisette & Johnny’s wedding day is a great reminder why we love what we do. You know those couples who completely win you over in less than a second? Well we feel like you’ll agree, Lily and Kenny make magic happen in that very way. It’s no wonder they chose gold as one of their beautiful weddings accent colors because these two are as solid as it gets! Let’s reminisce over their special day which was definitely one of our favorite experiences to be a part of.
It was truly an honour to capture Brittany & Kyle's engagement session in West Vancouver at Caulfield Park this summer. I have known Brittany over the past few years whereby we've had the pleasure of working together on several published fashion photoshoots in Vancouver. With love in their hearts and a beautiful location to match, here are highlights from Brittany & Kyle's engagement session.
When the day finally arrived for Samantha and Jimmy’s wedding we truly believe their families couldn't have waited a moment longer. The best part is, neither could they! Traveling back in time to their years spent, faces in books, barely being able to look up because as you can imagine going to medical school at Yale University is serious business. This absolutely made-for-each-other couple spent a gorgeous sunny day at the end of May bearing witness to what can happen when you do glance up and discover the one you love looking back at you.
